RE-STORYING BOISE

This month's theme is Storytelling with the Body

The storytellers (dancers, tattoo artists, medical doctors, social activists, educators) come from diverse walks of life, each engaging with the body in professional and/or creative ways. Through the body, they connect with others, move people, emotionally and physically, and build community. For some, the body becomes a medium of expression through practices such as dance, yoga, and movement. For others, it serves as a pathway to the mind, enabling healing, awareness, and connection. At times, the body functions as a canvas and emerges as a language of resistance and subversion.  What unites these storytellers is that they all call Boise home and have come to know the city through their embodied work, through movement, treatment, care, creativity, and presence.

This event, is jointly presented by Global Lounge and  Katha , in collaboration with JUMP.  We will showcase a short performance by local artists at the beginning to get the conversation started.
