A four week drop in workshop series for cosplayers, families, fashionistas, creatives and ghosts looking to spook.

COST: FREE

AGES: Targeted to older age, but open to all; anyone under 18 MUST be accompanied by a parent/caregiver

Ever wanted to learn to make your own costumes, but don't know where to start? Or just want to be around other creatives and like-minded individuals while creating your one-of-a-kind look? If you’re looking for inspiration, a few simple shortcuts to design, and crafting an unforgettable Halloween costume this year, then look no further than the Sew Scary Workshops! Participants will be able to bring home their costume/pieces at the end of every workshop.

For those serious designers, JUMP will have a limited number of sewing machines (first-come-first-serve) and our costuming guide Amanda Fitch will share basic sewing tips to get you on your way!

We’ll have an assortment of materials and supplies on hand, but feel free to bring along your own materials and supplies to make your costume really come to life.

PARTICIPANTS WILL LEARN:

• Basic sewing skills

• Tips and Tricks on sewing techniques

• How to get started designing

• Draft your own pattern/modify existing patterns

• Your own custom costume

REQUIRED MATERIALS:

JUMP provides everything needed for you to create your design. Such as sewing machines, tools, materials, etc. Participants are welcome to bring in any additional tools, machines and/or supplies.
