JUMP is launching the first official StoryCorps program in Idaho through our PLAY Studio!
Stories Unite Us invites you to record your story in our fully-equipped podcast suite and and preserve the stories of our community for generations to come.
StoryCorps is a nationally recognized independent nonprofit, sharing stories with the public through podcasts, animated shorts, digital platforms, and best-selling books, even sharing stories weekly on NPR to over 12 million listeners. They believe everyone has an important story to tell and everyone’s story matters. Their mission: to help us believe in each other by illuminating the humanity and possibility in us all — one story at a time.
Recording an interview for Stories Unite Us is an opportunity to ask someone you love about their life story. For 40 minutes the two participants will have the chance to dive into whatever topics they feel drawn and get to the heart of the stories that really matter.

How do you want to be remembered?
At the end of the conversation, participants receive a free recording to share with family and friends. With permission, a copy will be preserved in the StoryCorps archive and the Library of Congress. Stories Unite Us is an audio project only; no video will be taken.

ADDITIONAL INFO:
StoryCorps sessions are typically two person interviews. Participants come with a companion. One will be the interviewer, and one will be the interviewee, or you may interview each other. It is possible, but uncommon, to have 3-4 people in the booth for an interview.
There is no host; StoryCorps enables participants to interview or be interviewed by someone they know.
Participants have 1 hour in the studio. The first 15 minutes will consist of an orientation and mic check. The remaining 45 minutes is yours.
Interview participants must by 13 years of age or older.
Upon making a reservation, participants will receive a confirmation email with details, helpful documents, directions, and other necessary information.
