FEATURED CREATIVE RESIDENTS:
Andrew Nemr | MOVE Studio
Mentored by Gregory Hines, Andrew Nemr is an international artist, teacher, and speaker with work across music, dance, theatre, film, and the visual arts, exploring tap dance as a vehicle for storytelling and community building. The New York Times described Andrew as “a masterly tapper.”
Andrew is featured on a Grammy-nominated recording by Dave Eggar, he founded the Nemr Institute for Spiritual Formation and Creativity, is the topic of award-winning documentary Identity: The Andrew Nemr Story, and writes for The Notes with Andrew Nemr.
He is most fond of his ability to wiggle his ears.
Casey Nova | SKIP Building
Casey Nova is a multi-disciplinary artist focusing on the nexus of light, architecture, tech, and nature. He brings his unrelenting optimism and curiosity of the world around us back to JUMP for ILLUMiBRATE 2025. He and his Sensebellum studio team will create the ultimate expression of geodesic living, interactive art, the natural world, and our modern abilities, all living in harmony.
The Colossal Collective | JUMP Park
The Colossal Collective is a group of Boise-based artists, engineers, builders, and performers who collaborate around a singular mission: to create magic and spread a sense of childlike wonder through their larger-than-life puppets.
Since forming in 2012, their creations make regular appearances at the ILLUMiBRATE, Treefort Music Festival, the Idaho Botanical Gardens, and art festivals throughout the region. They’re also frequently spotted roaming the streets of downtown Boise.
The group was founded by local artist Sam Johnson. Sam grew up in Santa Fe, New Mexico, and studied fine art at Whitman College, and business administration at Boise State University. He is a firm believer that art should be experienced and interacted with, not just observed and consumed.
