JUMP ON THE DECKS!: From Playlist to Performance  

WEDNESDAYS | AUG 19-SEPT 23 | 6-8PM

Once a week workshop series for six weeks. For anyone 14 and older interested in DJing; no prior experience required. Beginner-friendly. Reservation required.

COST: $80 for full 6-week series (all gear provided)

Ready to JUMPstart your DJ journey? The JUMP DJ Clinic is a 6-week, hands-on workshop where you’ll learn how to mix, blend, and perform like a pro. From DJ history and beatmatching basics to building stage presence, you’ll gain the skills and confidence to bring your music to life. No gear or experience needed — just bring a playlist and your passion for sound. The series culminates in UP ON JUMP, a rooftop showcase where you’ll perform your favorite music for the community on a professional stage!

The DJ Clinic will culminate in UP ON JUMP, a free, community-wide showcase on the evening of Sept. 25th. Graduates will perform on the JUMP rooftop/patio using professional-grade lighting, sound, and staging provided by TENNVNT Productions. The event will highlight student growth, celebrate creativity, and engage the broader Boise community in dance and connection.

PARTICIPANTS WILL LEARN:

• History and culture of DJing

• Introduction to DJ gear (controllers, CDJs, software, speakers)

• Mixing, beatmatching, and transitions

• Reading the crowd and building energy

• Stage presence and personal branding

• Hands-on practice each week with curated playlists

TAKEAWAYS:

WHAT TO BRING:

A playlist of songs they enjoy, laptop, (optional) headphones. Everything else provided.

DISCLAIMERS 

1. If minimum capacity is not met, the workshop will be cancelled. 

2. CANCELLATION POLICY: If you are no longer able to attend, a full refund (minus service fees) is available for cancellations made up to 2 weeks (14 calendar days) prior to the workshop start date. Cancellations made less than 14 calendar days are nonrefundable. If JUMP cancels the workshop for any reason, attendees will be issued a full refund with fees.

INSTRUCTOR BIO:

TENNVNT is a Boise-based DJ, lighting designer, and founder of TENNVNT Productions. With years of experience performing and producing immersive events across the Treasure Valley — including JUMP’s rooftop dance event and Treefort Music Festival — Trentyn specializes in making music accessible, community-focused, and fun. His passion lies in helping others discover their creative voice through music and performance.
