THE FOXHOLE SESSIONS: A Veterans Open Mic

WEDNESDAYS | 6:00 - 8:00 PM | ALL MILITARY VETERANS WELCOME | FREE | DROP IN

Want to play The Foxhole Sessions? Veterans are invited to request an acoustic performance slot at JUMP’s PLAY Studio, hosted by Uncle Rick every Wednesday! We’re starting with solo performers and acoustic duos, with 10-minute sets and advance scheduling. Originals and covers are welcome. First time onstage? You’re welcome, too.

PARTICIPANTS WILL LEARN: Created and hosted by Army veteran and musician Uncle Rick, The Foxhole Sessions grows from his own experience of finding connection and purpose through creative participation. This acoustic open mic gives fellow veterans a place to build confidence, share their music, and connect at JUMP’s PLAY Studio. Preparing a set, stepping up to the mic, and supporting one another offers a meaningful way to become active in the community—with something to contribute and a reason to return.

TAKEAWAYS: Participant takeaway: Performers receive a recording of their set for review, sharing, and promotion.

Community production opportunities: Community members can gain hands-on experience mixing sound on the M32, operating the video switcher, and serving on the production crew.

Shared learning: TFS creates opportunities onstage and behind the scenes, building skills in performance, live production, teamwork, and communication.

WHAT TO BRING: An acoustic instrument with a pickup.
