Women's Voices: The Call of the Heart

MOVE Studio Workshop

SATURDAY APRIL 11TH | 2-4 PM | MOVE STUDIO | AGES 18+ | $25

Final in a series of four individual workshops, one per month (Jan, Feb, Mar, Apr), for women. All singing skill levels welcome and supported. Participants may sign up for any or all of the workshops in the series.

WOMEN’S VOICES: THE CALL OF THE HEART

INSTRUCTOR: Kendra Kae

For the young at heart! Find the inner joy of the youthful girl who became the woman you are today. Play and create with your voice. Let life inspire you. Learn improvisation techniques, write, and share your own song. 

PARTICIPANTS WILL LEARN:

• Untame your voice, making sounds that have been suppressed to access more vocal freedom 

• Connect with your body for vocal power and ease 

• Bring emotion and conviction into your vocal expression 

• Play and improvise with community support and encouragement. There are no mistakes! 

• Learn sound vocal technique for healthy vocal production that allows for ease throughout your range 

• Gain skills for intuitive musicianship, from listening to rhythmic timing, melody, and harmony 

• Forge bonds with other women through your shared experience

MATERIALS TO BRING:

• Water bottle

• Dress comfortably to move

• We have yoga mats and yoga bolsters available, but feel free to bring your own to sit on the floor

INSTRUCTOR BIO:

Kendra is a visionary facilitator and performing vocal artist dedicated to guiding individuals and groups on journeys of self-discovery, playfulness, and emotional liberation. 

Kendra offers a comprehensive approach to vocal creativity & expression. Her work extends beyond traditional vocal coaching, incorporating elements of speech therapy, breath-work, yoga, embodiment, and mindfulness to unlock the full potential of the human voice. 

• Kendra has performed opera in Boise, New York City and Italy working with Opera Idaho, Gemma Arts, and the Narnia Festival and has over 20 years of classical vocal training and experience. 

• She developed Women’s Voices while living in Bali. A small choir of women with little experience & lots of heart. Seeing them thrive, she felt, “this is something women need.”  

• Kendra leads weekly Women’s Voices singing groups at the Boise Interfaith Sanctuary and the Zen Den. 

• She is a self-recorded, self-published artist and performs regularly in the Treasure Valley.
