Workshop is a four-day series for teenagers. Cost is for entire series; signing up commits you to attend all four dates. Registration is required. No experience necessary.

Get ready to turn up the volume this summer with TENNVNT’s Youth DJ Workshop! This high-energy 4-hour camp is designed for students who are curious about music, mixing, and what it takes to rock a crowd. Whether they’re total beginners or already exploring their musical side, campers will learn the fundamentals of DJing—from understanding equipment and beatmatching to building a vibe and selecting tracks.

Led by experienced DJ Trentyn Tennant, this hands-on workshop focuses on both skill-building and having fun behind the decks. Students will gain confidence, creativity, and a new way to express themselves through music.

To top it all off, the camp ends with a live showcase where students get to perform for their family and friends at a celebratory dance party—giving them a real taste of what it’s like to be a DJ.

INSTRUCTOR: Trentyn Tennant

PARTICIPANTS WILL LEARN:

  • Introduction to DJ equipment and how it all works (controllers, mixers, software)

  • Basic beatmatching and transitioning between songs

  • Understanding song structure, BPM, and timing

  • How to build a playlist and choose tracks that fit a vibe

  • EQing and blending techniques for smooth mixes

  • Using effects and creative tools to enhance a set

  • Reading a crowd and creating an engaging experience

  • Performance basics and confidence behind the decks

  • How to practice and develop their own DJ style

  • Preparing for a live set and performing in front of an audience

CANCELLATION POLICY: If you are no longer able to attend, a full refund (minus service fees) is available for cancellations made up to 2 weeks (14 calendar days) prior to the workshop start date. Cancellations made less than 14 calendar days are nonrefundable. If JUMP cancels the workshop for any reason, attendees will be issued a full refund with fees.
